Joint Graduate School in Biodiversity and Biosecurity

The University of Auckland and Landcare Research are New Zealand’s two leading research organisations in environmental science and ecology research. They have combined their resources and expertise to create the Joint Graduate School in Biodiversity and Biosecurity as part of the Centre for Biodiversity and Biosecurity.

There are various scholarships available for postgraduate students conducting research in the area of biodiversity and biosecurity.

The Sir James Gunson Scholarship has been founded for the purpose of enabling a University of Auckland graduate to investigate one or more problems connected with the agricultural, dairying, horticulture or pastoral industry of New Zealand, with special reference to problems affecting the Auckland Province.
